23-karat gold leaf, oil and acrylic paints on the reverse of glass.

These two photos demonstrate how much verre églomisé shifts as one changes viewing position. The photographs are of the same glass panel but each is taken from a slightly different angle. In the photo on the left, one sees a lot of the gold's brilliance, but in the photo on the right the work has changed dramatically. There is no longer so much reflection from the gold leaf, and instead one sees more color.
