Annabel Armstrong - decorative painting
Mirror
This mirror was created by adhering ultra-thin, pure silver leaf to glass and creating an inlaid pattern by oxidizing some of the silver leaf. The finished piece, while still functional as a looking glass, is visually rich. A simple frame reverses the mirror frame's traditional role of dressing a mirror, thus downplaying the role of the frame while emphasizing the mirror itself as a work of art.

The mirror received an award in the product design category from the intermountain chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers.
